Containers for Haiti Program
You can donate relief items for Haiti. GLA Canada is sending containers from as many cities as possible in the next month or two. The items we will accept will be specific, they are listed here. These lists are current and Dixie will add to them as she sees fit. NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE. WE NEED PEOPLE TO HELP COLLECT AND PACK IN YOUR CITY!!

- Contact them if you are willing to "HEAD UP" collection and packing in your city
- They will coordinate all the volunteer leaders across Canada, help you find containers
- They will arrange for shipment of containers for you, or help you consolidate yours with others
- GLA Canada will pay for shipping containers to Haiti where we cannot get shipping donated
- Lois works at Stollery Childrens Hospital, Dale works for Byers Transport
WE NEED YOUR HELP
Each of you will have to find a group of volunteers to help organize and pack in your city. You will need to find warehouse space, a double car garage, or someplace to collect things. We may be able to get the container to you early so you can use it for storage if you have a place to put it. You will have to get the word out in your community to make this happen. A team of 5 dedicated people can make this happen, 10 is better.

Dixie is very clear that we can ONLY accept items on her list of needs. See the list here or visit www.glacanada.ca - Donations button, Donate Items. NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE. PACKAGING and PACKING instructions laid out by Haitian customs MUST be followed to the letter. We will post this on the website with the list of items. Jean Bell in Colorado ships our containers to Haiti and she will tell us how. Feb 28.
