There are several programs for giving through GLA Canada.

• EDUCATION

• This is our gift to the Nation of Haiti. There is no better way to improve the living conditions in a poor country than to EDUCATE the PEOPLE, ALL the people! Many families who have given up a child for adoption because they simply cannot feed the child will ask us to help by educating the remaining child or children. Some of our Haitian staff have children who need funds for their education. Most schools in Haiti are private and the cost for a full year of schooling is $360us, or $35cdn per month. We have requests to educate about 390 children each year and we would like to support each one if we have the funds. We also support the Callabasse School, a small Haitian school located near us. GLA does not keep any of these funds, they all go to pay for education of Haitian children.

•  Here is how it works; when we receive your donation we make a pact with the parents. They must prove the child is enrolled, come for a photo in their new school uniform, and bring progress reports twice per year to show they are still enrolled and have passing grades. We e mail you the photo and at the end of the term we send you their grades. You can pay for the whole year up front, or you can do monthly withdrawals, your choice.

• SPONSOR A CHILD for $30.00 per month

•  Children can be sponsored for the time they remain in Haiti. When they leave for their "forever homes" we will assign the donor another child. E mail photos and progress reports will be sent to you so you can pray effectively for "your child." Did you know that the cost of adopting a child in Haiti does not come close to paying all of the cost to keep the child before they are adopted? The process takes too long, and the increase in costs of all goods in Haiti has been so steep our adoption fees have simply not kept pace. Your monthly donation will see that these precious children receive the medicine and care they need until they can join their forever families.  BE CERTAIN YOUR DONATIONS GO THROUGH GLACANADA SO YOU GET PROPER CANADIAN TAX RECEIPTS.
• TWO EASY STEPS
• 1. Send an e-mail to Laurie at lorlor@glahaiti.org giving her your name, phone number, tell her how many children you wish to sponsor and your preference (if any) for BOY-GIRL and age range.
• 2. Download and print one of the "monthly donation" forms just below our address on this page, fill it in and mail to us in Okotoks, Alberta. Be certain to put "child sponsorship" on the form and we will deduct from your account based on your instructions. Thank you so much for your support.

• ONE TIME DONATION

• Just use PAYPAL, CANADA HELPS, CREDIT CARD, or send a CHEQUE. Be certain to save your receipts! 

• FOOT X FOOT BUILDING PROGRAM

• The most recent estimate is that each square foot of building at Fort Jacques will cost $35. Our supporters have said we can only build this place one square foot at a time, so let's get this place built by donating one or several square foot per month. This is the best investment you can make, put a permanent home in place for the needy children of Haiti, we can stop paying the high rents we have on the 4 homes we rent today.
